Email Marketing – Email Marketing Without Spam Flagging

Email Marketing Without Spam Flagging

Email marketing is a golden chance to earn dollars online. However, when your emails get flagged as spam, it’s trouble time!

Email marketing is passing through a tough phase thanks to the various spam filters being fitted by different ISPs. Marketers have to double check their mail content before sending them to their targeted audience.

To Write Or Not To Write
If you are not sure what to write and what not to write while email marketing, read on to find out the safe use of words to lure customers.

The first thing you should know is what type of content leads to the tripping of ISP spam filters. Remember, all spam filter algorithms are NOT THE SAME. Therefore, it’s not possible to recommend one way that works for all.

However, here are certain ways that increase the chances of your mails getting received and escaping the spam hammer.

Tips To Prevent Spam Flagging
• Mostly, spam filters examine your email address before your domain name to check out whether they are any digits in the address. This is because, long back, spammers used addresses like mymail45798@domain.com. So, be sure to have an address free of numbers.
• Be careful with the use of words. For example, if you want to give the figure of how much you earned in your mail, statement like, “I made $15,560 last week” may invite trouble. (At the score of 1.2, the spam flag will trip. A score amounting to 5 or more is spam.) Instead, say, “I earned to the tune of $15,560 last week”. The worlds “tune” between “earned” and the dollar figure will confuse the spam filters.
• The words that you should avoid using in your mail vary with the spam filter. The commonest ones are “guarantee”, “money”, and “free.” Even words like “nothing” and “now” may trip the spam flag. Surprised, isn’t it? Well, the word “now” is usually linked with the statement, “get this offer now!” So, beware of what you put in your mail.
• To be on the safer side, go to a spam checker online. Many free ones are available.

Experience Excels
Experience makes you better at email marketing. With time, you will come to know which words spell trouble and which ones are safe to use. In the beginning, you will have to be conscious while email marketing. As you gain experience, the use of words will come naturally to you. There will be a time when you will send emails with a spam score of 0.

So, what are you thinking? Start writing! Practice makes people perfect. And this applies to email marketing too. Get ready to fight those spam seeking eyes!
