Affilate Marketing – Pay Per Click Affiliate Marketing Program

Pay Per Click Affiliate Marketing Program

Pay per Click is one of the various affiliate-marketing models adopted by some of the popular affiliate programs. Here, the affiliate needs to display an advertisement or a link to the merchant’s website. If a visitor clicks on that link and is redirected to the merchant’s website, the affiliate is paid a predetermined commission. This type of affiliate advertisement program can be easy to earn money with. No marketing tactics or strategies need be mastered. Just join the program, and you will start earning money.

The Model on which Pay per Click Affiliate Marketing Works

a. The website owner, or the merchant, bids on an amount of money he is prepared to pay per click on a link to that particular website.
b. The advertisers bid among themselves for higher listing rankings for a particular keyword or key-phrase on a search engine.
c. The website that bids the highest will get the highest ranking in the pay per click search engine. The ads for that website appear higher on the listing.

How to Earn Money from Pay per Click Affiliate Marketing Programs

The other types of advertisement models that are around include ‘Pay per Sale’ and ‘Pay per Lead’.

In ‘Pay per Lead’, ‘Cost per Lead’, or ‘Cost per Action’, as the programs are variously known, the visitor from the affiliate’s website need not only to visit the merchant’s website, but also perform some action, like signing up for an account, subscribing to a newsletter, filling up forms, and so on. Only then, the affiliate will earn the commission.

In ‘Pay per Sale’, or ‘Cost per Sale’ models, the merchant pays commission to the affiliate only when the visitor referred from the affiliate’s website makes a purchase of the merchant’s products or services.

Compared to these, making money with “Pay per Click” affiliate marketing model is relatively simpler.

• Payment is based on the click through the visitors to the affiliate’s website make on the advertiser’s sites. The affiliate need not worry about finding targeted audience. Whether the visitors make a purchase or not, the affiliate is paid. The risk in this type of affiliate marketing lies entirely with the merchant.

• In order to generate an income through pay per click, you should build websites or make blogs with contents that are in the same niche as the merchant’s website. Then the pay per click ads will be well optimized for the visitors to your website or blog and you will get a good click through rate.

• Optimizing your website for good rankings in search engines is the best way to drive traffic to your pay per click affiliate marketing program. Make sure that the content on your website or blog is rich with keywords. Run a keyword search if necessary, to locate the optimized keywords. This enables the search engine spider to crawl your websites. In addition, the content needs to be informative enough to spawn interest in the visitors.

• Post your ads in such a manner that they are prominently visible to the visitors.
