Computer Virus
Computer Virus
A compute virus is a computer application program that has the ability to replicate itself and also infect a computer system.
A virus can spread from one machine to the other over a network or through a removable disc such as a CD, DVD or USB drive. A virus can also spread by attaching itself to emails and can automatically mail itself to hundreds of email addresses found in email address books.
A virus operation involves the use of executable code or program. When a virus attaches itself to a legitimate application program, each time the application program runs, the virus runs simultaneously and writes to the memory of the computer. The virus can then replicate itself and infect, corrupt or modify files on the computer system, and from there spread to other computer systems.
