Trojan horse is class of malware that have the capability of disguising itself as useful application of some sort (e.g. screen savers, scanners, add-ons and plugins). The malware attract the attention of Internet users in this manner and the unsuspecting victim downloads it onto the computer system.
Once downloaded, a Trojan horse can perform lots of damaging and unethical activities such as

  • Install additional software to the user’s computer to generate money or constitute a nuisance by prevent any legitimate activity from being carried out on the system.
  • Do a lot of harm to a computer system by giving backdoor access to hackers and attackers and installing other malware programs.
